On January 18th, Hoang Long Hanoi Tokyo High School ( Hanoi ) held its Spring Festival 2025. Guests were treated to a traditional village-themed fair with nearly a dozen unique stalls from various classes. The stalls, offering delicious food and Tet (Lunar New Year) decorations, attracted many visitors, creating a lively and bustling atmosphere.
The space was meticulously decorated with details that strongly evoked the atmosphere of the Lunar New Year.
Classes were organized with mats spread out for wrapping banh chung (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes). Students, teachers, and parents soaked the rice and prepared the ingredients the night before so that the next morning they could wrap beautiful banh chung. Afterwards, the students would skillfully arrange their creations for display and presentation. The school's organizing committee would judge the cakes and place them in a large pot to boil them right there at the school.
With all its diverse and vibrant activities, the Hoang Long Spring Festival 2025 created a truly joyful, warm, and meaningful atmosphere. It was an opportunity for teachers and students to bond, and also helped students understand more about the traditional values of the nation, while conveying hopes for a peaceful and happy new year.
Binh Luc High School ( Ha Nam province ) also organized a competition titled "Decorating the Five-Fruit Tray to Welcome the Year of the Snake 2025," with the full participation of all teachers and students in the school.
To kick off the competition, the school will organize a fruit platter arrangement contest for the students. Depending on the region, the way the fruit platter is arranged may vary, but the common meaning remains the same: wishing for "Happiness, Prosperity, Longevity, Health, and Peace."
The competition provided a valuable platform for showcasing aesthetic talent, skill, and creativity, while also enhancing understanding and promoting the preservation of the traditional Tet (Lunar New Year) culture of the nation.
With skillful hands, a keen eye for shaping, and harmonious color combinations, the classes created unique and beautiful fruit platters. Furthermore, the school stated that organizing the competition was also an opportunity for students to express their gratitude to heaven and earth, their ancestors, and to express their wishes for abundance, prosperity, and harmony, like the five colors of nature in the Five Elements theory. Through the activity of making fruit platters, each student gained a valuable and enjoyable experience, while also fostering a strong bond between students and the school.
Speaking with a reporter from Gia đình và Xã hội (Family and Society) magazine, Ms. Pham Thanh Huong (a parent) said: “The school's activities are one of the messages that convey great meaning to the children. I hope that the school will have practical activities like this on important occasions throughout the year to help the children have a beneficial playground while also helping them understand the traditional values that they need to preserve and promote.”

The officers enthusiastically participated, meticulously decorating vibrant potted apricot and peach blossom trees. Along with that, they didn't forget to hang magnificent couplets in various corners, contributing to a beautiful spring scene right on the school grounds.
