Google introduces NotebookLM as a “personalized AI research assistant.” Just upload a document in PDF format, a website, a YouTube video , an audio file, Google Docs, Google Slides, and NotebookLM will summarize and create a podcast based on the content. All of this is possible thanks to Google Gemini 2.0’s large language model.

Instructions for creating a podcast using NotebookLM:

Step 1: Visit NotebookLM at https://notebooklm.google.com/ and log in with your Google account.

Step 2: Click Create New.

Step 3: Click Upload source and select the prepared file.

Step 4: NotebookLM automatically generates a summary of the file's content. In the Studio pane on the far right, there's an Audio Overview option, which creates an in-depth conversation with two hosts. Click Create to create the podcast.

Step 5: The podcast creation process may take a few minutes. You can leave the app running and do other things.

Step 6: Once the podcast is complete, you can tap to listen again. Tap the three-dot icon next to it to change the playback speed, download, or delete the file.

Step 7: Upload your podcast to your desired platform (Spotify, Soundcloud) and share it on social media with everyone.
