The "unconventional" way of selecting candidates for the Mister Vietnam 2024 contest

The Organizing Committee emphasized that in the time before the preliminary round, the Organizing Committee will continue to look for potential candidates at the last minute, not missing any potential factors.

It can be said that this is the "reverse" way of Mister Vietnam's Organizing Committee for a beauty contest. While most of the current male and female contests tend to be entertainment-oriented, Mister Vietnam season 2 is cautious and elaborate in every step. While in most other beauty contests, the preliminary round will be conducted through online profile review, Mister Vietnam season 2's Organizing Committee has spent many months traveling to all regions, directly searching for and recruiting potential contestants, even "indulging" contestants to the point of agreeing to meet them privately according to their personal schedules.

"In fact, we have gone to every corner to recruit candidates, so although we announced it in October 2023, we have only now reached the number of candidates ready to enter the national preliminary round. We affirm that, with the stature of a national competition, Mister Vietnam is not an entertainment show, we want to find candidates with real ability to become a typical, dynamic role model, inspiring positive living for young people, ready to step into the international arena to conquer victory, maintain Vietnam's leading position in the world's largest male competitions, ready to participate in international fashion shows... Therefore, our casting call takes a lot of time and effort, which not every organizer can do," said Mr. Phuc Nguyen - Chairman of Mister Vietnam season 2 contest.

Mister Vietnam season 2 selects contestants like no other

According to the organizers, the upcoming national preliminary round will have the theme "one on one" and will be a direct "confrontation" to choose one. The national preliminary round will only select 30 candidates to enter the final round.

With a 3-year term, Mister Vietnam offers contestants up to 09 opportunities to become Vietnam's representatives to participate in the world's largest male competitions whose organizer, Leading Media, holds the copyright, including: Mister Supranational, Mister International, Mister Global.

These are 3 of the top 5 male pageants in the world. Leading Media is still holding its position as the only unit that owns 3 male titles of the top 3 pageants in the world: Mister Global 2021 - Mister Global Danh Chieu Linh, Mister International - Mister International 2018 Trinh Bao, Manhunt International 2017 - Truong Ngoc Tinh. In addition, Mai Tuan Anh and Tran Manh Kien, also from "Leading Media", both won the title of Manhunt International runner-up. Most recently, Mister Vietnam season 1 runner-up Le Huu Dat won the title of 4th runner-up Mister Global 2023.

Mister Vietnam season 2 brings many opportunities to go international for the contestants: Top 05 Mister Vietnam and the contestant who won the Runway Star award will immediately receive an invitation to perform at the prestigious New York Couture Fashion Week, one of the largest fashion shows in the United States. 09 Mister Vietnam season 2 will be selected to represent Vietnam to participate in 3 out of 5 top male competitions in the world.

The award structure of Mister Vietnam season 2 will have 1 Champion, 4 Runners-up and 6 secondary awards. The award opportunities will be divided equally among many contestants. The secondary awards include: Mister Runway Star - Male Model Star of the Catwalk; Mister Content Creator - Male Model Creative Content; Mister Multi Talented - Male Model Talented; Mister Fitness Vietnam - Male Model with a Beautiful Body Vietnam; Mister Sports Vietnam - Male Model Sports Vietnam; Mister Community Vietnam - Male Model Community Vietnam.
