TPO - A series of streets in the center of Ho Chi Minh City will be closed to traffic from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on April 30 to organize fireworks displays to celebrate the 49th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport has just announced traffic adjustments in the central area of District 1 to serve the fireworks display to celebrate the 49th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2024).
Accordingly, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on April 30, all vehicles are prohibited from entering the following routes: Le Loi (from Dong Khoi to Pasteur); Nguyen Hue Street (from Le Thanh Ton to Ton Duc Thang); Dong Khoi Street (from Mac Thi Buoi to Ton Duc Thang); Ton Duc Thang Street (from Nguyen Sieu to Khanh Hoi Bridge); Nguyen Tat Thanh Street (from Khanh Hoi Bridge to Hoang Dieu); Ham Nghi Street (from Ho Tung Mau to Ton Duc Thang); Hai Trieu Street (from Ho Tung Mau to Nguyen Hue); Nguyen Thiep Street (from Dong Khoi to Nguyen Hue); Huynh Thuc Khang Street (from Ho Tung Mau to Nguyen Hue); Ton That Thiep Street (from Ho Tung Mau to Nguyen Hue); Ngo Duc Ke Street (from Dong Khoi to Ho Tung Mau); Lam Son Square Street (from Hai Ba Trung to Dong Khoi); Mac Thi Buoi Street (from Dong Khoi to Nguyen Hue).

At the same time, all vehicles are prohibited from entering the roads around the Me Linh Square roundabout, including Ngo Duc Ke (to Dong Khoi Street), Ho Huan Nghiep (to Dong Khoi Street), Phan Van Dat (to Mac Thi Buoi Street), Thi Sach (to Dong Du Street), and Hai Ba Trung (to Mac Thi Buoi Street).
In addition, vehicles are also prohibited from traveling on Ba Son Bridge and Khanh Hoi Bridge during the above mentioned time.

Direction from Binh Thanh District to District 4 : Nguyen Huu Canh (Binh Thanh District) → Ton Duc Thang → Nguyen Du → Cach Mang Thang Tam → Nguyen Thi Nghia → Nguyen Thai Hoc → Ong Lanh Bridge → Hoang Dieu → Nguyen Tat Thanh (District 4).
Direction from District 4 to Binh Thanh District : Nguyen Tat Thanh (District 4) → Hoang Dieu → Ong Lanh Bridge → Nguyen Thai Hoc → Nguyen Thi Nghia → Cach Mang Thang Tam → Nguyen Thi Minh Khai → Xo Viet Nghe Tinh (Binh Thanh District).
Direction from Thu Duc city to District 5 : Vo Nguyen Giap (Thu Duc city) → Dien Bien Phu → Dinh Tien Hoang → Vo Thi Sau → Ba Thang Hai → Le Hong Phong (District 5).
Direction from District 5 to Thu Duc city : Le Hong Phong (District 5) → Dien Bien Phu → Vo Nguyen Giap (Thu Duc city).
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport also prohibits all types of vehicles from stopping and gathering to watch fireworks on Thu Thiem Bridge, Binh Loi Bridge, Binh Trieu Bridge, Mong Bridge, Calmette Bridge, Ong Lanh Bridge, Hang Xanh Intersection Overpass, Phu My Bridge, Nguyen Huu Canh Overpass, Kenh Thanh Da Bridge, Saigon Bridge, and Rach Chiec Bridge.
In order to ensure traffic safety and order to serve the organization of the art performance program to celebrate the 49th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2024) and the 138th anniversary of International Labor Day (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2024), the Department of Transport of Ho Chi Minh City announces:
From 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on April 29, all vehicles are prohibited from traveling on Nguyen Hue Street (from Le Loi Street to Ton Duc Thang Street), District 1.
Alternative route:
- Le Thanh Ton Street → Dong Khoi Street → Ton Duc Thang Street.
- Ton Duc Thang Street → Me Linh Square → Hai Ba Trung Street → Le Thanh Ton Street.
In addition, in order to ensure traffic order and safety during the organization of the Live TV Bridge Program to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024), the City Department of Transport also announced the restriction of vehicles on Ton Duc Thang Street (from Khanh Hoi Bridge to Me Linh Square), District 1 from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on May 5.
