The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Tourism has proposed a 15-minute fireworks display at the entrance to the Saigon River tunnel in Thu Duc City on Saturday evenings for five consecutive weeks, from April 19th to May 31st. The fireworks will be launched between 9 PM and 9:15 PM.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports, in anticipation of the 50th anniversary of the National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025), a series of meaningful cultural and sports activities will be organized in Ho Chi Minh City from March 20 to May 31.
The series of activities taking place on Saturday evenings of April 19th, April 26th, May 3rd, May 10th, and May 17th includes: music stages, street music performances, a parade of tourist boats, a flower boat parade on the Saigon River, paragliding and flyboard demonstrations... organized at Nguyen Hue Walking Street, Bach Dang Wharf, the Saigon River, and Thu Duc Riverside Park.
On April 29th and 30th, Nguyen Hue Walking Street and the Bach Dang Wharf area along the Saigon River will host a variety of spectacular artistic performances, including circus acts, magic shows, traditional opera, martial arts, brass band music, and more.
On the evening of April 30th, a performance featuring 10,500 drones will take place, showcasing meaningful images of Ho Chi Minh City over the past 50 years. This drone display is also expected to set a Vietnamese record for the largest number of drones flying simultaneously.

The city also plans to hold fireworks displays at seven locations, including: the area at the entrance to the Saigon River tunnel in Thu Duc City; the Ben Duoc Martyrs' Memorial in Cu Chi District; the Nga Ba Giong Martyrs' Memorial in Hoc Mon District; the Lang Le - Bau Co historical site in Binh Chanh District; the Can Gio District football stadium; the National Historical and Cultural Park; and the Dam Sen Cultural Park.
In addition to the seven planned fireworks display locations mentioned above, the Ho Chi Minh City Command is also encouraging districts, counties, and businesses located in the city to participate in the social mobilization of local fireworks displays.
Ho Chi Minh City will organize fireworks displays at 7 locations for the April 30th holiday.

Tan Son Nhat Airport's Terminal 3 officially commenced operations after the April 30th - May 1st holiday.
