Ahead of the opening of the 12th ASEAN Para Games, host country Cambodia has completed preparations for the facilities at seven venues in the capital Phnom Penh.

According to the National Paralympic Committee of Cambodia (NPCC), the 12th ASEAN Para Games will host 7 venues for 14 sports disciplines: Morodok Techo National Stadium, National Olympic Stadium, Techo Sen National Center for Sports for People with Disabilities, the United Youth Federation of Cambodia (UYFC), the National Sports Training Center, the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP), and Naga World II.
At the 12th ASEAN Para Games, the Morodok Techo National Stadium on the outskirts of Phnom Penh hosted the most competitions, featuring eight sports:
Athletics, swimming, wheelchair basketball, sitting volleyball, table tennis, badminton, blind soccer (5 players) and disabled volleyball.
Meanwhile, athletes with disabilities in 7-a-side football, weightlifting, judo, bocia, chess, and e-sports will compete at the remaining five venues: the National Olympic Stadium, the Techo Sen National Center for Sports for People with Disabilities, the UYFC Federation, the National Sports Training Center, RUPP, and Naga World II.
Over the past few days, the disabled sports delegations from Southeast Asian countries have been arriving in Cambodia to prepare for the competitions at the 12th ASEAN Para Games.
Among them, the Philippine Paralympic team arrived earliest, on May 30th, with 272 members, including 176 athletes, 96 coaches and technical staff. On May 31st, the Vietnamese Paralympic team with 164 athletes also arrived in Phnom Penh, ready for the competitions at the 12th ASEAN Para Games.
According to Yi Veasna, Secretary General of the Cambodian National Paralympic Committee, the 11 delegations participating in the upcoming sporting event comprise 2,692 members; including 1,453 athletes and 1,239 coaches and technical staff.
Members of the sports delegations participating in the 12th ASEAN Para Games are not required to pay the same food and accommodation fees as they did for the 32nd SEA Games.
The 12th ASEAN Para Games are scheduled to open on June 3rd at the Morodok Techo National Stadium, located in Prek Tasek ward, Chroy Changvar district, on the outskirts of Phnom Penh.
