On the morning of August 1, the Delegation of the Economic - Social Subcommittee of the 14th National Congress of the Party, led by Mr. Tran Hong Ha - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, Permanent Member of the Economic - Social Subcommittee, had a working session with the provinces of the North Central and Central Coast regions in Da Nang.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Quang - Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee proposed that in the last term, the North Central region and the Central Coast region were issued Resolution 26 of 2022 by the Politburo on socio-economic development. Immediately after that, the Prime Minister also issued Decision No. 376 on approving the regional planning.

However, according to Mr. Quang, there needs to be mechanisms and solutions to implement regional planning. Because the planning is very clear, the problem is what mechanism to implement this planning.

"It is necessary to be decisive in the organization and operation mechanism of the Regional Coordination Council. Without this mechanism, the role of regional coordination will only be a formality and the connection between each locality will be very loose.

Thus, there needs to be a mechanism of an agency, a regional leader, a regional coordinating agency," Mr. Quang said.

At the meeting, Mr. Tran Hong Ha - Deputy Prime Minister said that in allocating the status of projects in the region, there needs to be political consensus and agreement. The Red River Delta region has also raised this issue and this is the criterion for allocation.
