[UPDATE] April 30th parade rehearsal on Le Duan street in front of Independence Palace

The military parade practice on Le Duan Street (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) in front of the Independence Palace attracted a large crowd of people to watch.

According to the plan of the Organizing Committee for the 50th anniversary of national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), at 8 PM tonight (April 18), 38 contingents of military and police forces will gather in Ho Chi Minh City for a joint parade rehearsal. The contingent will move along Le Duan Street in front of the Independence Palace, passing the grandstand area at the intersection of Le Duan and Pasteur streets.

After this joint training session, the forces will have one more joint training session on the evening of April 22, a preliminary rehearsal on April 25, and a state-level general rehearsal on April 27 on Le Duan Street.

The official parade will take place at 6:30 a.m. on April 30 with the participation of about 13,000 people.

The Ho Chi Minh City Police Department's Traffic Police announced that they will adjust traffic flow to facilitate the rehearsal for the parade and march commemorating the 50th anniversary of national reunification on Le Duan Street in front of the Independence Palace .

From 8 p.m. tonight, the traffic police force will prohibit both people and vehicles from circulating on more than 20 routes in the central area; except for forces and vehicles with badges and badges directly on duty to ensure security, order and traffic safety for the program.

Specifically, traffic will be restricted and parking prohibited from 6 PM to 8 PM on April 18th. After that, from 8 PM to 1 AM on April 19th, traffic will be completely prohibited for both people and vehicles.

During the above period, the authorities only allow individuals and organizations to walk to their homes or hotels for accommodation. Officers and employees who need urgent work at their offices or units are allowed to take the correct route to a proven location in a restricted traffic area.

At the previous press conference, Colonel Nguyen Nhu Truc, Deputy Chief of Political Affairs of Military Region 7, said that in addition to the fixed locations for training, preliminary rehearsals, and general rehearsals, other routes are open to traffic. People can go near certain areas to watch the parade and march.
