Danang Photography Club held a Conference to summarize activities in 2024

(NADS) - On the afternoon of December 28, at the headquarters of the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Da Nang City, the Da Nang Photography Club held a Conference to summarize activities in 2024.

Conference Overview

In his opening speech, Club President, NSNA Huynh Van Truyen emphasized the outstanding achievements of the past year. The Club not only successfully organized a series of photography events but also left a special mark with exhibitions imbued with humanity, such as the exhibition "Pride of the Fatherland's Border" at La Êê Border Post, Quang Nam Province, and the exhibition on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) at APEC Park.

These exhibitions not only honor the image of soldiers protecting the country’s sovereignty but also express deep gratitude to the army and border guards who have contributed to maintaining peace and security in all regions of the country. Each photo on display is an emotional story, depicting the beauty of solidarity and the silent sacrifice of soldiers on the front lines.

Artist Nguyen Quang, member of the Executive Committee, Head of the Inspection Board of the Da Nang City Art Photography Association, spoke at the conference.

In addition to meaningful exhibitions, the Club has also achieved great success in major photo contests such as “Radiant Da Nang” and regional and national awards with 67 prestigious awards. Notably, members Truong Cong Minh and Thai Quan Chung have brought home high-level national awards, affirming the quality and position of the Club.

Not only stopping at artistic activities, the Club has also succeeded in connecting and socializing, mobilizing a total sponsorship fund of more than 124 million VND. This is an important foundation to help expand exhibition activities, organize workshops and support creative work for members.

With the support of businesses and organizations such as Sun Group, Da Nang General Science Library and district cultural units, the Club has successfully implemented many major programs such as the exhibition "Beauty of Quan The Am Festival" and the photo contest "Beauty of Hai Chau Communal House Festival". These events not only promote the photography movement but also spread cultural values ​​and inspiring stories about Da Nang.

Club members are always encouraged to participate in creative activities, creating works of high artistic value. In particular, the Club has always accompanied the city's major activities, from cultural and sports events to programs with profound humanitarian meaning.

At the conference, the Club's Board of Directors presented the direction of activities for 2025. The main goals include strengthening thematic composition organization, promoting connections with new members and continuing to develop the socialization movement. The Club will also focus on improving the quality of activities by organizing skills training sessions, combined with participating in many major competitions at home and abroad.
