TPO - Several Serbian fans were arrested after a brawl with English fans. This is the latest serious incident involving fans at EURO 2024.
Before the EURO 2024 match between Serbia and England, a fight broke out between fans of both sides at a bar in Gelsenkirchen. It was reported that the conflict was initiated by a group of English people. These people used unfriendly words towards their opponents. And they made the Serbian fans angry and rushed into a fight.
During the scuffle, fans from both sides threw objects at each other, damaging the club's facilities. Serbian fans were more aggressive. Witnesses said they attacked the English fans, injuring many.
Police have arrested seven people from Serbia, one of whom has been charged with grievous bodily harm, the BBC reports. He will be held in custody pending trial.

Meanwhile, the English fans were not prosecuted, but they remained under the surveillance of the British police under a cooperation agreement between the two sides.
This is another incident that has given Germany a headache during the EURO. On the opening day, three Scottish fans assaulted their opponents. According to TAG24, the incident occurred in the fan zone at the Olympic Park at around 9:50 p.m. local time, before the opening match between Germany and Scotland.
Three Scots kicked a 22-year-old woman in the back and verbally abused her. The victim immediately contacted the police, who arrested the three men but later released them on bail.
Before the Poland vs Netherlands match last night, a crazy fan brought an axe and petrol bombs with a group of Dutch fans, then challenged the police.
After several unsuccessful warnings, German police had to shoot the man dead. The fan is currently receiving medical treatment under the supervision of the authorities.
