The humanitarian activities of the Red Cross Emulation Cluster No. 1 will reach more than 1,347 billion VND in 2025.

DNO - On the morning of December 5, in Da Nang, Emulation Cluster No. 1 of the Red Cross Association held a conference to review the association's work and movements in 2025.

Attending were leaders of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society and representatives of centrally-run cities in Emulation Cluster No. 1 including: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Can Tho and Hue.

In 2025, the association's work and the Red Cross movement of the cluster continued to achieve many outstanding results. Accordingly, the total value of the cluster's humanitarian activities in the year reached more than 1,347 billion VND, helping 2.34 million poor, near-poor, disadvantaged people, victims of natural disasters and difficult cases.

The group mobilized more than 1.54 million gifts, with a total value of more than 732 billion VND. The "Humanitarian Tet" movement in the Spring of At Ty 2025 and the "Humanitarian Month" both exceeded the central target.

The campaign “Each organization, each individual is associated with a humanitarian address” of the cluster has supported more than 19,900 addresses, with a total budget of about 1.03 billion VND. Sustainable assistance models such as Red Cross houses, livelihood support, scholarships, and building charity kitchens continue to be maintained in many localities in the cluster.

The cluster's disaster prevention and response work has reached a value of more than 81.9 billion VND, supporting nearly 90,000 people affected by storms, floods, heavy rains, landslides and other natural disasters. At the same time, the cluster has deployed many effective models such as safe schools, safe communities, disaster response drills, and skills training for teachers, students and volunteers.

The above results continue to affirm the core, bridging and coordinating role in humanitarian activities of Emulation Cluster No. 1, contributing to spreading the spirit of sharing and community responsibility throughout society.

In 2026, Emulation Cluster No. 1 focuses on implementing the theme: "Promoting innovation, digital transformation, international cooperation; competing to achieve achievements to welcome the 12th National Congress of Delegates and celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Red Cross Society".

Key tasks include: perfecting the two-level organizational structure; improving the capacity of cadres and volunteers; effectively implementing large-scale movements; promoting digital communication, mobilizing mass resources; and enhancing the application of technology in management, operations and humanitarian activities.
