For the first time, Vietnam hosted the world's leading neurointerventional forum.

DNO - On the morning of December 5, 2025, in Da Nang city, the LINNC Asia 2025 Conference opened, one of the world's most prestigious scientific forums on neurovascular intervention - stroke.

The event, organized by SIS Can Tho International General Hospital in collaboration with the LINNC Organizing Committee, marked the first time Vietnam became the destination of this large-scale academic forum.

The conference took place on December 5 and 6 at the Ariyana Convention Center, bringing together more than 250 professors, experts, and doctors from France, the US, Canada, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, and many countries in the region.

The conference program includes a series of intensive training activities: pre-recorded case discussions, typical case presentations, E-Posters, seminars and stroke case analysis sessions. This is a special academic content of LINNC, aiming to update new techniques in the diagnosis and treatment of cerebrovascular diseases.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan assessed that hosting LINNC Asia 2025 is an important opportunity for the city to promote high-quality healthcare , especially in neuro-cerebrovascular interventions.

He also acknowledged the efforts of Vietnamese experts, including Dr. Tran Chi Cuong, Director of SIS Can Tho International General Hospital, who has been associated with LINNC for more than 10 years and has reported many times at international conferences.

Representative of the International Organizing Committee, Dr. Mendes Pereira, Head of LINNC Training, commented that Vietnam is one of the countries with the fastest growth rate in neurointervention in Asia. Stroke emergency facilities in Vietnam are constantly improving and enhancing the quality of services.

At this year's conference, Dr. Tran Chi Cuong and Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Dang Luu (Bach Mai Hospital) were appointed as Local Course Directors, responsible for directly coordinating domestic training programs. Experts expect that LINNC Asia 2025 will create many international cooperation opportunities, contributing to narrowing the professional gap and significantly improving stroke treatment capacity in Vietnam.

As a co-organizer, SIS Can Tho International General Hospital actively prepared scientific content, coordinated experts and provided illustrative cases. These contributions have helped bring advanced medical knowledge closer to the domestic medical team.
