Da Nang: Vietnam's Smart City 2025

DNVN - On December 6, the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang announced that the Vietnam Software and Information Technology Services Association (VINASA) announced that Da Nang City won the "Vietnam Smart City Award 2025".

Previously, on December 2, the "Vietnam Smart City Award 2025" Voting Council chaired by Dr. Nguyen Quan - Former Minister of Science and Technology, and 9 members held a general voting conference for the award in Hanoi .

Da Nang is the only province/city to be awarded the "Vietnam Smart City Award 2025".

Based on the presentation round evaluation report, the Council conducted a fair vote, in accordance with the criteria and regulations of the award and selected excellent nominations to award the "Vietnam Smart City Award 2025".

Accordingly, Da Nang City was selected to receive awards in 3 areas: Smart governance and management; Attractive innovative startups; Green environment - Sustainable development.

In particular, based on the results achieved, the Final Selection Council also unanimously awarded the “Smart City Award 2025” to Da Nang City. This is the most prestigious and only award for the group of provinces/cities participating in the “Vietnam Smart City Award 2025”.

According to the announcement of VINASA, the ceremony to honor and award the “Vietnam Smart City Award 2025” is scheduled to be held on the morning of December 23 in Hanoi. The ceremony will be attended and witnessed by leaders of state agencies, ministries, branches, provinces, cities, press agencies and businesses.

Along with the award ceremony, on December 23, VINASA coordinated with the Hanoi Department of Science and Technology to organize the conference "Smart City Vietnam - Asia 2025", which is expected to have the participation of senior leaders of the Government , ministries, departments, branches, leaders of Hanoi City and localities interested in building smart cities in Vietnam, along with more than 1,500 domestic and international delegates.

The conference includes a plenary session and 5 thematic workshops; exhibition of products, services and solutions on smart cities; connecting supply and demand, trade and cooperation between domestic and international businesses and organizations.

In particular, the Organizing Committee invited the leaders of the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang to speak at workshop 01: "AI in smart urban management and operation" with the proposed content "Da Nang: Application of AI and open data in urban management"; invited the leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Da Nang to speak at workshop 03: "Green energy, smart mobility and sustainable development according to the NetZero 2025 target".
