After "Phoenix Wings" honors the image of women, "Men Don't Need to Cry" is a young musician's perspective on the typical characteristics of men.
The images in the MV are like a short film with different life scenes, all having to go through many challenges in life, so that they don't cry "even though the storm is raging in the night", they silently go through the storms of their life while in their hearts "holding a surging and flowing river".

It is the story of a dancer who has to use a wheelchair (performed by actor Chien Bui), a lonely clown (performed by actor Quang Tuan), a transgender male bodybuilder - Tino Huynh. And especially, also the climax of the story, are the hidden tears of a man, with the participation of actor Quoc Tuan and his son - Bom. The two artists Quoc Tuan and his son have created an inspiring story about fatherly love and the unspeakable sacrifice of a father so that his child can live a normal life in extremely difficult circumstances.

Actor Quoc Tuan revealed that this was the first time he and his son Bom participated in a music video and were very happy. Because of their respect for each other, when Tung Duong invited them, actor Quoc Tuan and his son immediately accepted without any requirements.
"Father and son arranged and flew to Ho Chi Minh City for 4 days to work with the crew to film very grand, meticulous and cinematic scenes. The actors participating in the MV were all passionate about their work and forgot all about time. After each scene, everyone was moved by the beautiful melody, meaningful lyrics and especially Tung Duong's voice which was so technical, powerful and emotional" - actor Quoc Tuan confided.

Musician Antoine Lai said that in recent years, he has always had the question: Why don't men cry? and finally found the answer for himself.
"In the face of painful losses or collapses of faith, forced smiles and sad eyes are what I always observe in men. When I grew up, I realized that men in particular and people in general have the need to cry. But most men choose to stay silent, suppressing the emotions that surge inside them, because if their tears are seen, the people around them will no longer have spiritual support" - musician Antoine Antoine Lai confided.
Tung Duong and artists in the MV
Right after having the first draft for the song, Antoine Lai immediately thought of Tung Duong's voice because the male singer is an idol in the author's "unique" artistic life.
Tung Duong is the main scriptwriter of the MV. Men Don't Need to Cry was produced with a team of very young collaborators, most of them in their twenties, the youngest born in 2009.

Director Nghia Kao shared that despite having to endure a lot of pressure, from collaborating with the famously difficult and perfectionist divo Tung Duong, to having to express both the bright and dark sides of the lives of 6 characters in a song of just over 4 minutes with philosophical lyrics. But above all, the team of more than 50 people worked together to complete a meaningful project, honoring men in a sincere and emotional way.
