Electric pole fire in front of bank in Ho Chi Minh City

On the afternoon of November 6, an electric pole in front of a bank branch on Nguyen Anh Thu Street (Trung Chanh Commune, Hoc Mon District) suddenly caught fire. Fortunately, the fire department was able to put out the fire in time.

At the time of the fire, the bank staff and surrounding people used fire extinguishers to put out the fire. However, the fire was burning high up, the fire extinguisher nozzle could not reach, so it was ineffective, the fire continued to burn fiercely.

The fire then spread along the telecommunication cable, extending. Local forces were present to try to control the fire. Electricity in the area was also cut off in a controlled manner to serve the fire fighting work.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Police and Rescue Force of Hoc Mon District Police dispatched many officers and soldiers to the scene to promptly extinguish the fire when the flames were burning the advertising board of the coffee shop and the bank branch.

For more than 16 hours on the same day, electricity and telecommunications workers were still troubleshooting, cutting off burnt lines, and reconnecting new power lines and telecommunications cables to serve people as soon as possible.

Currently, the authorities are also clarifying the cause of this electric pole fire.
