Fireworks tickets are being "screamed" twice as high

The final night of the Da Nang Fireworks Festival (DIFF 2024) takes place on July 13, but by this time tickets to watch the fireworks have been sold out.

Although this year the organizers have expanded the grandstand area to accommodate more than 10,000 seats, it is still full every night.

At this time, the official website of DIFF 2024 has stopped accepting ticket sales information for the final match between China and Finland on the evening of July 13.

Meanwhile, on the "black market", many groups announced selling tickets at prices 1.5-2 times higher than the listed price of the organizers.

In many social networking groups, tickets are being sold at very high prices. Even the A1 grandstand ticket is being sold for nearly 2 million VND, although the organizers sell it for 800,000 VND.

Mr. Tran Hoa Binh , a domestic tour guide, said that he recently helped a customer buy a pair of tickets for stand A for more than 7 million VND, even though the organizers announced the price was 2 million VND/ticket.

Mr. Binh said that for the qualifying matches, buying individual tickets is very easy. If you buy early, you can even buy tickets at a lower price than announced from the cases of reselling invitation tickets.

“Three days ago, I asked the distribution channels and they said that the tickets for the final night were sold out since the qualifying round. My customer needed a pair of tickets to give to a friend, so he had to buy them on the market at a much higher price,” said Mr. Binh.

Cruise ships and hotels behind the stands are also sold out.

Meanwhile, more than 20 licensed boats on the Han River had sold out tickets to watch the fireworks finale more than 10 days in advance.

A representative of the Han River Dragon Boat ticket sales department said that the final night ticket price ranges from 2,200,000 - 2,700,000 VND/ticket (including meals) and was booked early by groups.

“Now, if you book tickets for a group, there will definitely be no train tickets left because the tours are booked months in advance. Only occasionally, due to unexpected circumstances, do they cancel and we “release” them for resale. But these cases are very rare,” this person said.

The attraction of the fireworks festival and the performance of the two arch-rivals China and Finland were soon proven in the qualifying round match night.

Therefore, up to this point, many hotels specializing in selling seats to watch fireworks on Tran Hung Dao street (located behind the grandstand) have also run out of seats for the night of July 13.

A representative of the facility at 185 Tran Hung Dao said that this location has 200 seats from the 3rd to the 5th floor. However, these 200 seats were booked early in the fireworks festival qualifying round.

Similarly, some establishments on Nai Tu 2 Street, located quite far from the stands, were also fully booked.
