Currently, in Chiem Hoa district, there are 11 integrated livestock cooperatives, 10 small and medium-sized farms with a scale of 100 or more pigs to 2,500 pigs concentrated in Vinh Quang, Kim Binh, Tri Phu, Ngoc Hoi, Tan An, Phuc Thinh, Hung My, Nhan Ly communes... with a total of 28,900 buffaloes, over 2,600 cows, a herd of over 130,000 pigs, and a herd of over 1.5 million poultry. Along with supporting farms and cooperatives in the area, the People's Committee of Chiem Hoa district has actively coordinated with departments and branches to implement solutions to attract businesses to invest in livestock, especially projects of large corporations and enterprises; prioritizing the development of value chains associated with local advantageous products.

The high-tech pig breeding farm project in Dien village, Nhan Ly commune of Hong Phat Agricultural Investment Joint Stock Company was approved by the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province in Decision No. 263/QD-UBND dated April 28, 2022, adjusted in Decision No. 100/QD-UBND dated March 18, 2023 on an area of ​​7 hectares. The scale of raising 2,500 pigs, including 2,400 sows and 100 boars. With a total investment value of over 148 billion VND.

Mr. Le Tien Dung, Deputy Director of Hong Phat Agricultural Investment Joint Stock Company, said: Currently, the project has completed about 90% of the items, is carrying out the finishing work, installing equipment and is expected to be completed in May this year and put into operation in June. Immediately after completing the project investment items, the company will proceed with the steps to apply for a license to certify livestock farming conditions for the project to come into operation. Immediately after going into operation, the livestock farm will create jobs for over 100 local workers.

The high-tech concentrated pig farming project in Na La village, Xuan Quang commune has an area of ​​over 5 hectares, an investment capital of over 40 billion VND, a farming scale of about 12,000 pigs/batch, and annually supplies over 24,000 pigs to the market. Currently, the project has completed investment and construction procedures and is being put into operation.

Comrade Vu Dinh Tan, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Chiem Hoa district, said: These are two large livestock projects in Chiem Hoa district. After completion and operation, the project will contribute to the successful implementation of the agricultural restructuring plan for the period 2021 - 2025. At the same time, the orientation is to develop concentrated livestock farming according to the value chain; build disease-safe, biosafe, environmentally friendly livestock farming areas and facilities, apply science and technology to improve the stature, increase productivity, quality, and competitiveness of the livestock industry.
