Strengthening coordination with socio- political organizations

In recent times, socio-political organizations in the province, including the Provincial Farmers' Association, the Provincial Women's Union, the Provincial Veterans' Association, and the Provincial Youth Union, have played a core role in disseminating preferential credit policies, organizing public reviews, supervising the use of loans, consolidating the network of savings and loan groups; at the same time, accompanying the Dong Nai branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies, contributing to promoting the Sustainable Poverty Reduction Program, building new rural areas, and ensuring social security in the area.

According to the Dong Nai branch of the Social Policy Bank, in terms of implementation results, the total outstanding balance of policy credit programs reached over 11.5 trillion VND. Of which, the outstanding balance entrusted through socio-political organizations in the province reached nearly 11.4 trillion VND, accounting for 99% of the total outstanding loans, with more than 215 thousand borrowers still having outstanding loans. The whole province has more than 4.5 thousand savings and loan groups established and operating stably in all communes and wards. Of which, over 95% of the groups are classified as good and fair.

In mid-July, the Dong Nai branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies held a signing ceremony of a joint document on the implementation of entrusted lending to poor households and other policy beneficiaries between the Dong Nai branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies and provincial-level socio-political organizations. Accordingly, the units agreed to sign a joint document on the organization and direction of affiliated units to implement entrusted lending activities to poor households and other policy beneficiaries with the contents of entrustment to provincial-level socio-political organizations; entrustment to commune-level socio-political organizations; method of calculating and paying entrustment fees; responsibilities of related parties, etc.

Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union Bui Thi Hanh shared that the Provincial Women's Union currently manages more than 1,600 savings and loan groups with a total entrusted debt balance of more than 4.1 trillion VND. In the coming time, the Provincial Women's Union commits to fulfill its responsibilities in implementing the content of the joint document with the Dong Nai branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies on entrusting loans to poor households and other policy beneficiaries. The Provincial Women's Union hopes that the Dong Nai branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies will continue to implement professional training activities, equip knowledge, and apply information technology to members of local savings and loan groups in the new situation.

Acting Director of the Dong Nai branch of the Bank for Social Policies, Le Ba Chuyen, requested that the affiliated transaction offices proactively coordinate closely with the People's Committees of communes, wards and socio-political organizations that receive the mandate to widely announce the location, schedule and time of transactions, helping people to grasp information promptly.

Ensure stable and smooth credit policy operations

Acting Director of the Dong Nai branch of the Bank for Social Policies, Le Ba Chuyen, emphasized that in the coming time, the Dong Nai branch of the Bank for Social Policies will coordinate with socio-political organizations receiving entrusted capital and communes and wards in the province to continue focusing on tasks and solutions to improve the quality of service to the people in policy credit activities. At the same time, strengthen information and propaganda work; deploy technology applications, digital transformation in the lending process, deploy products and services of the Bank for Social Policies for poor households and other policy beneficiaries in localities...

After the administrative reorganization, the Dong Nai branch of the Social Policy Bank continues to maintain local transaction points and maintain the fixed monthly transaction schedule. Thanks to that, people do not have to travel far, their financial habits are not disrupted, and loan disbursement and debt collection activities are carried out normally.

For example, in Thanh Son commune - one of the remote communes of the province, the policy capital flow is still guaranteed to be stable and uninterrupted. Credit programs for poor households, near-poor households, students in difficult circumstances, etc. continue to be implemented effectively and humanely. This is evidence of the harmonious coordination between policy credit officers and socio-political organizations entrusted at the grassroots level.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Vu, Director of the Dinh Quan Social Policy Bank Transaction Office - the unit managing the transaction point in Thanh Son commune, emphasized that debt collection, interest collection, disbursement and transactions with loan group members in Thanh Son commune are taking place normally and smoothly.
