Welcoming Chairman of the Thai Senate Committee on Law and Justice Boonchan Nuansai to visit and work at the National Assembly House, Chairman of the Committee on Law and Justice Hoang Thanh Tung highly appreciated the significance of this visit, especially in the context of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and Thailand which is increasingly developing well, substantially and effectively in many fields.
Chairman of the Committee Hoang Thanh Tung believes that cooperation between legislative bodies, especially in the legal and judicial fields, will contribute to building a modern and fair legal system, creating a solid foundation for the investment environment, socio -economic development and protection of human rights of the two countries.
Expressing his pleasure in visiting and working in Vietnam and visiting the National Assembly, Chairman of the Law and Justice Committee Boonchan Nuansai noted that the cooperative relationship between the two countries and the two National Assemblies has developed well in recent times; exchanges and contacts at high and all levels as well as bilateral cooperation mechanisms have been maintained effectively. At the same time, he expressed his impression of the achievements in socio-economic development that Vietnam has achieved in recent years.
Introducing the functions and tasks of the Committee on Law and Justice, Chairman of the Committee Hoang Thanh Tung said that the Committee is one of the eight specialized agencies of the National Assembly of Vietnam. In recent times, the Committee has advised and helped the National Assembly and the Standing Committee of the National Assembly to complete many important legislative tasks, especially in the current period when the National Assembly of Vietnam is in the process of promoting the completion of the legal system, serving socio-economic development and restructuring the apparatus.

At the same time, he affirmed that the Law and Justice Committee of the Vietnamese National Assembly wishes to accompany and increase experience exchange with the Law and Justice Committee of the Thai Senate as well as agencies of the Thai Senate and House of Representatives, making practical contributions to the cooperative relationship between the two National Assemblies and the friendly relations between the two countries.
Committee Chairman Boonchan Nuansai said that the Thai Parliament consists of the Senate and the House of Representatives. Once the House of Representatives has passed a bill, it will be submitted to the Senate for consideration; the Law and Justice Committee is the body responsible for further examination of the bill.

After reviewing and examining, if there are any contents that need to be changed or supplemented, the draft law will be sent back to the members of the House of Representatives for adjustment. In case the members of the House of Representatives do not agree with the opinion of the Senate, a Working Committee will be established between the House of Representatives and the Senate to discuss and reach a common consensus.
In the spirit of open exchange and cooperation, the two sides shared valuable information and experiences on legislative activities, judicial reform and building a rule-of-law state. These are contents of practical significance for both Committees in the current context of development and integration.

The two Committee Chairmen agreed to continue to maintain close ties and enhance the exchange of experiences between the two Committees through various forms such as: exchanging working delegations; enhancing exchanges between researchers and support specialists of the two Committees through in-depth training courses and mutual learning; organizing online seminars and workshops on topics of common interest; and, together with other agencies of the National Assembly, supporting, cooperating and supporting each other in multilateral parliamentary forums.
