Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (stock code: ACB ) has just sent an official dispatch to the State Securities Commission and Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange reporting the results of issuing shares to pay dividends in 2022.

Accordingly, the results of the share issuance show that 506,615,264 shares were distributed, including 506,593,908 shares distributed to 58,268 shareholders according to the ratio and 21,356 shares processed in the form of odd shares. Currently, ACB has 3,884,050,358 shares circulating on the market.

After this issuance, ACB Bank's charter capital increased from VND33,774 billion to over VND38,840 billion. In addition to the above dividend shares, shareholders of this bank will also receive a total of more than VND3,774 billion in cash dividends on June 12.

Notably, this is the return of cash dividends after 8 years. The last time ACB paid cash was in mid-2015 at a rate of 7%, the total amount paid at that time was 627 billion VND.

Therefore, Mr. Huy will receive an additional 17.4 million ACB shares and nearly VND116 billion in cash in the near future.

At the close of trading on June 9, ACB shares were at VND21,550/share. Temporarily calculated at this price, the more than 115.7 million ACB shares that Mr. Tran Hung Huy received as dividends are worth about VND374 billion.

In 2022, ACB achieved a record consolidated pre-tax profit of VND17,114 billion, an increase of nearly 43% thanks to no longer having to spend a large part of its profits on risk provisions.

In the first quarter of this year, ACB achieved consolidated pre-tax profit of nearly VND 5,157 billion, an increase of more than 25% compared to the first quarter of 2022, completing 26% of the 2023 business plan.

As of March 31, 2023, ACB's total assets reached VND611,224 billion, up 0.6% compared to the beginning of the year. Customer loans reached VND411,289 billion, down 0.6% compared to the same period last year. The bad debt ratio was controlled below 1%. In terms of capital, at the end of the first quarter of 2023, ACB had VND422,755 billion in customer deposits, up 2.1% compared to the beginning of the year.
