President Luong Cuong attends the 10th National Uncle Ho's Good Children Award Ceremony

The National Uncle Ho's Good Children Congress is an important event, a big festival of Vietnamese children held every 5 years, to honor children with outstanding achievements in studying, training, and emulating to well implement Uncle Ho's 5 teachings.

The 10th Congress has the theme “Vietnamese Children Firmly Stepping Into the New Era”. This Congress has 500 delegates who are outstanding team members and children from all over the country.

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, President Luong Cuong warmly commended and praised the outstanding achievements of the 500 typical examples of Uncle Ho's Good Children nationwide who were honored today, along with all the team members, teenagers and children nationwide who have achieved in the past time.

Noting that Vietnamese history is a process of continuous continuation and transmission between generations, the President believes that you will continue to try harder and make more efforts to always be worthy of all those noble sacrifices; continue to unite together to preserve and enhance the fine traditional values ​​of the heroic Vietnamese people.

Referring to the theme of this Congress, “Vietnamese Children Firmly Stepping into the New Era”, the President pointed out that love for the homeland, love for the Fatherland, love for compatriots is the most sacred love that beloved Uncle Ho wanted to put in the hearts of every child and teenager; that love is the foundation and motivation for children to strive and contribute to building their homeland and country to become increasingly prosperous, civilized and prosperous.

And to do that, according to the President, the most important task for you now is to try to study well. Uncle Ho advised: "Whether Vietnam's mountains and rivers become beautiful or not, whether the Vietnamese people can step up to the glorious stage and stand shoulder to shoulder with the world's great powers or not, depends largely on your studies." That advice expressed Uncle Ho's deep trust and love, as well as the special wishes and concerns of the Party, the State, parents, teachers and the entire Vietnamese people for the young generation and the young generations - the future owners of the country.

Emphasizing that youth and childhood only come once, the President stated that children should keep dreaming but must have the determination to rise up and study hard and practice to realize their dreams. Children's luggage is knowledge, love for the Fatherland, love for compatriots, the desire to contribute and the confidence to enter a new era - an era of strong development and prosperity of the Vietnamese people.

Assessing the achievements and honors that you have gained in the past time is just the first step of pride and respect in each of your long life journey. The President hopes that you will be humble, constantly strive to study, practice, and be creative, to develop comprehensively. Although each of your conditions are different, you can all rise up with diligence, passion, constant effort, determination to overcome difficulties and always have the desire to rise up.

Along with that, the President said that in addition to studying well, children need to pay attention to physical training, diligently practice physical exercises and sports and learn necessary life skills. During his lifetime, beloved Uncle Ho had two verses "Children are like buds on branches - knowing how to eat, sleep, and study is good", which is a reminder to all parents, teachers, party committees, authorities at all levels, departments, ministries, branches, and organizations from the Central to the grassroots level to always pay more attention, care, and invest more in the work of protecting and educating children, creating the best possible healthy environment for children to study, practice and play, creating opportunities for comprehensive development for children.

President Luong Cuong believes that the 500 typical children present here will be "Messengers" who will positively inspire, arouse aspirations, dreams and ideas of dedication for the young generation of the country; at the same time, he calls on the children to spread good deeds, encourage good things, encourage friends to study, practice and compete to follow the 5 teachings of Uncle Ho, always carry a positive spirit of learning, overcome all difficulties to move towards a bright future for themselves and more broadly, contribute to building a bright future for the beloved country of Vietnam.

The President also acknowledged, welcomed and commended the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Central Council of the Young Pioneers and all levels of the Youth Union and Young Pioneers for their advice and good implementation of the work of protecting, caring for and educating adolescents and children in the past time.

In the coming time, the President requested that Party committees, Party organizations, ministries, branches, unions, schools; teachers, each family and the whole society further promote their responsibility for the cause of protecting, caring for and educating children and adolescents, giving the best to children, helping them live and study in a healthy and safe environment; regularly listening and paying attention to resolving the legitimate aspirations of children; adults must be shining examples for children to follow, educating them to always be good children, good students, good team members, becoming future citizens with virtue and talent, contributing to building our country to become "more dignified, more beautiful, on par with the world powers" as beloved Uncle Ho always wished.

The program also included an exchange called “Artificial Intelligence and Vietnamese Children Stepping Firmly into the New Era” between the children and two smart robots, which not only helped us better understand AI - a modern technology, but also opened up an insight into how technology can become a reliable companion in the learning and growing journey of today's generation of Vietnamese children.

On this occasion, 500 delegates of Uncle Ho's Good Children nationwide were honored to receive Uncle Ho's photo and scholarships from President Luong Cuong. The Central Youth Union and the Central Council of the Young Pioneers commended and presented certificates of merit, Uncle Ho's Good Children certificates, gifts and each delegate was awarded a scholarship worth 4 million VND.
