The Speaker of the National Assembly presides over the fourth session of the National Election Council.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, Chairman of the National Election Council, stated that preparations for the election are proceeding urgently and actively, adhering closely to legally mandated procedures.

On the afternoon of December 15th, the National Election Council held its fourth session at the National Assembly building.

Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, who is also the Chairman of the National Election Council, presided over the meeting.

Also attending the meeting were the Vice Chairpersons of the National Election Council, members of the National Election Council, and representatives of the leadership of relevant agencies.

Speaking at the session, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man stated that preparations for the election are proceeding very urgently and actively, adhering closely to the legally prescribed procedures.

Unlike previous elections, this election is taking place against the backdrop of a political system and local government apparatus that are being further streamlined and reorganized in accordance with the Central Committee's resolutions; some models of urban and local government organization are being reformed and improved. This places very high demands on the quality of election preparation, ensuring that procedures and regulations are followed correctly, especially personnel matters, which must be carried out according to the regulations of the competent authorities.

The Speaker of the National Assembly affirmed that the agencies are currently moving in the right direction in accordance with the Central Committee's directives.

Highlighting several positive aspects of election preparations, from the initial stages to the present, the Speaker of the National Assembly pointed out the synchronized and active involvement from the central to local levels; the rapid and solid progress in preparation, especially in finalizing documents, developing organizational plans, and drafting resolutions on electoral units.

Personnel matters were prepared early, carefully, and according to proper procedures; this is a very important new point compared to the previous election. Security and order were prepared in a "proactive, remote" manner; the application of information technology has made significant progress, synchronized with population data...

At the session, the National Election Council also adopted several resolutions on election work.
