Vietjet announced the launch of a direct flight route between Ho Chi Minh City and Xi'an with 4 round-trip flights per week, each flight lasting approximately 4 hours, starting from April 29th.
The launch of the new route took place during the visit of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue to China, within the framework of the policy and legal forum on promoting Vietnam-China investment and trade cooperation, on April 10th. This is Vietjet's third route connecting Ho Chi Minh City to China. Previously, the airline successfully operated routes from Ho Chi Minh City to Shanghai and Chengdu. Since its first route in 2014, Vietjet has transported more than 12 million passengers to nearly 50 destinations across China.

Xi'an, located in Shaanxi Province, was once the capital of China and the starting point of the Silk Road. The city is renowned for its ancient cultural heritage and attracts the largest amount of foreign direct investment (FDI) among cities in western China. Meanwhile, Ho Chi Minh City, with a population of nearly 10 million, is a major economic, cultural, and tourism hub boasting unique characteristics and convenient connections to destinations throughout Vietnam and internationally.

The new Ho Chi Minh City - Xi'an route not only connects the two locations but also facilitates connections across Asia with Vietjet's network of routes to Australia, India, South Korea, Mongolia, and more. This operation opens up many opportunities for cultural exchange, education, economic development, and tourism between countries.
Passengers flying with Vietjet will enjoy the experience of flying on modern aircraft, being served by a professional and friendly crew, and savoring authentic Vietnamese cuisine such as banh mi and pho Thin, as well as world-class dishes that are hot, nutritious, and fresh.
