"Bac Son Love Song" art troupe and veterans in a special art program in Duc Hoa, Long An
On the evening of April 27, in Duc Hoa town, Long An province, a special art program to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) took place in a solemn and cozy atmosphere.
The event was organized by the Bac Son Love Songs Art Troupe of singer Bich Thuy, to pay tribute to veterans who contributed to the great victory of Spring 1975.

The program attracted a large number of local people, veteran revolutionary cadres and hundreds of veterans from all over Duc Hoa district, Long An province. The stage was decorated with flags and historical symbols, recalling a heroic time of the nation.
Opening the program, singer Bich Thuy - leader of the Bac Son Love Songs troupe - emotionally shared: "We organize this music night with all our hearts, as a deep gratitude to our uncles and aunts - those who sacrificed their youth for the independence and freedom of the nation."

The art night was imbued with traditional culture with songs that have been around for years such as: "Truong Son Dong, Truong Son Tay", "The Country", "March of the Day and Night", "Rung Orchid Branch", "The Saigon Girl Carrying Ammunition", "Please Rest Assured, Mother", "The Girl Who Opened the Road", "The Country Full of Joy", "Liberating the South" ca canh... And the troupe sang with the veterans the song "Uncle is Marching with Us".
Meaningful performances
The program ended with a duet with the audience of the song "Spring in Ho Chi Minh City". Participating in the program were artists and singers: Bich Thuy, Ha Chau, Bich Phuong, Khanh Tuan, Binh Map, Binh Chinh, Van Huynh Anh... All performed emotionally, receiving endless applause from the audience.
In particular, the exchange between veterans and the art troupe brought many touching moments, when war memories were recreated through simple yet moving stories.
In addition, the program also presented more than 200 meaningful gifts to veterans, demonstrating the profound spirit of "Drinking water, remember its source" of today's generation.

"The cultural night is not only a profound gratitude to the soldiers of the past, but also an emotional reminder of the responsibility to preserve and promote the great values that previous generations have worked hard to cultivate" - singer Ha Chau shared.
In particular, the program reviewed the historic victory of the Ho Chi Minh Campaign through lively questions and answers with the audience. At the beginning of the exchange, singer Bich Thuy - head of the art troupe, evoked a heroic atmosphere by inviting the audience to recall the glorious milestones of the historic campaign in 1975. The questions were short, easy to remember but full of meaning.
The Bac Son Love Songs Art Troupe is a volunteer art troupe founded and run by singer Bich Thuy – the ninth daughter of the late musician, Meritorious Artist Bac Son. The troupe operates with the mission of preserving and promoting the Southern folk music genre composed by musician Bac Son, while spreading humanistic values to the community through performances and volunteer activities.
Surprised by the knowledge and enthusiasm of the attendees, the answers were given quickly and accurately, amidst continuous applause. Not only the veterans, but also the young people and students present at the event enthusiastically raised their hands to participate, showing that the spirit of patriotism and national pride always burns brightly in every generation.
Sharing about the idea of organizing this historical exchange, singer Bich Thuy said: "We hope to not only bring songs, but also help people, especially the young generation, understand better and be more proud of the great feats of our ancestors in the cause of liberating the country."
Established to continue the will of the late musician Bac Son, the Bac Son Love Songs troupe not only performs famous songs such as: "Con thuong rau dang moc sau he", "Em di tren co non", "Bong squash vang" ... but also organizes social activities such as awarding scholarships, performing at social protection centers, charity shelters and schools. The troupe has organized more than 200 "School Stage" performances at schools in Ho Chi Minh City, introducing folk music and excerpts from Vietnamese history to students, contributing to educating patriotism and preserving national cultural identity.
The troupe regularly performs and gives gifts at centers for the elderly, orphans and the disabled, bringing joy and warmth to the less fortunate.
The contest "Bac Son Love Songs" was held to search for and train young singers who love folk music. The contest attracted many contestants and contributed to spreading the music of musician Bac Son to the young generation.
