(Hochiminhcity.gov.vn) - On the morning of December 24, 2024, the People's Committee of Thu Duc City and Vietnam Brand Purpose held a press conference to announce the New Year's Eve festival "City Tet Fest - Thu Duc 2025", which will take place from December 28, 2024 to January 1, 2025 at Saigon Riverfront Park.

This is the first multi-faceted, multi-experience event of its kind held in Ho Chi Minh City, combining culture, art, creativity, technology, music, and community. Designed on the scale and format of major festivals worldwide , City Tet Fest promises to become a new Tet destination for city residents, attracting domestic and international tourists and contributing to building Ho Chi Minh City's brand during the festive season.
In keeping with the spirit of an international New Year's festival, residents and visitors of the city will have the opportunity to fully enjoy the Southern-style Tet celebration, including Tet feasting, Tet entertainment, and Tet shopping; experiencing the full range of emotions with traditional Tet culture combined with contemporary and creative elements. Accordingly, a series of unique cultural, entertainment, art, culinary, shopping, and game activities will take place throughout the 5 days, with 10 highlights including: the opening art program of the City Tet Fest – Thu Duc 2025 with the theme “Loud Xao Music Night” (December 29), the Countdown Grand Music Festival (December 31), the multimedia exhibition “See Your Tet Sound”, the visual performance “Diversity in Chaos”, the contemporary folk game “Giant Human Chessboard”, Bolero singing in Ao Dai and Bingo Show, continuous Hiphop performances “Doi Nam” (Southern Opponent), the international Hiphop competition “Open Your Mind Vietnam”, the Loco Art Market, the Foodmap – Megalive agricultural market with Le Duong Bao Lam, and a Special Sunset Bar with music and DJs, promising to bring viewers many surprising experiences in terms of content and meaning, creating the beautiful values of Southern Tet culture.

Most impressive is the star-studded lineup at the two nights of the grand music festival: My Tam, international DJ Plastik Funk, Dong Nhi, Binz, Karik, Andree Right Hand, (S)TRONG Trong Hieu, Truc Nhan, RHYDER, Kay Tran, Chillies, Tlinh, Mono, Phap Kieu, The Thien, DJ Louis 8ightz, MC Hype Chon & MC Hype Pump, DJ Pia & Tumie, MC Quoc Bao, MC Kim Nguyen Bao... The Vietnamese and international hip-hop community "descended" upon the Hip Hop Doi South arena, curated by Morua and Co Dong, with guest judges and dynamic artists from the Netherlands, Indonesia, Laos, and Thailand.
Furthermore, one of the highlights of City Tet Fest is the multimedia exhibition "See Your Tet Sound," which vividly conveys the spirit of Tet in Southern Vietnam, offering unique visual experiences that blend technology and art. Visitors to the exhibition will be able to admire international-scale artistic performances, combining visual mapping directed by Tung Monkey with multimedia artworks from 22 Vietnamese and international artists (from Thailand, Australia, and the USA).
