Ho Chi Minh City: A kindergarten teacher in District 3 was suspended from teaching after a video went viral showing her slapping her students repeatedly while feeding them.

Mr. Luong Trong Binh, Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Training of District 3, said at noon on April 7 that the incident happened at Kindergarten 4 a week ago.

According to him, the school report said that a student was "physically impacted" by the teacher during lunch. The teacher was pregnant and had health problems that day, so her behavior was not up to standard. In a subsequent meeting with the school and the student's family, she admitted her mistake and apologized.

"The teacher is very uneasy," said Mr. Binh.

According to Decree 71 of 2023 of the government , the female teacher was considered for disciplinary action later, due to being pregnant.

When the boy stood up, she swung her arm and hit him repeatedly in the face and head, then walked out. A moment later, the teacher returned and used her elbow to nudge the child in the face. In another video, the teacher pressed the child's head into a bowl of rice.
