The biggest goal of the locality is to "eliminate digital illiteracy", helping all people - especially ethnic minorities - to access, use and master digital technology in daily life.
Together with the whole province, Nam Ka commune actively implemented the "Digital Education for All" movement to popularize basic digital knowledge and skills for all people, with the goal of allowing all people, especially ethnic minority people and people in remote areas, to access digital utilities, know how to use online public services and digital platforms for production and business.
Nam Ka Commune has established a Digital Transformation Steering Committee and a Community Digital Technology Team in 8 villages, becoming an “extended arm” to bring technology to each household. Team members visit each house to guide people to install applications, submit online applications, make cashless payments, and use technology utilities for production and daily life.

Mr. Y Mek E Nuol, Secretary of the Tursia Hamlet Youth Union, Nam Ka Commune shared: “Together with the Community Digital Technology Team, we young people go from house to house to guide people on how to use VNeID, Dak Lak number, pay via QR or buy goods on e-commerce platforms. Many people have gradually gotten used to it, find it convenient so they proactively use it more.
According to the People's Committee of Nam Ka commune, through the 100-day peak campaign to implement "digital literacy", the community digital technology teams have reached more than 1,000 households, reaching over 60% of the total households in the commune. In particular, the community digital technology teams have directly guided people to install the Dak Lak digital application, use medical, educational and social security services online. Up to now, the commune has 1,390 people installing the Dak Lak digital application (reaching over 30%), more than 4,000 citizens have activated VNeID level 2 identification accounts (reaching 86.8%). About 80% of adults own smartphones... This is a big step forward for a remote commune like Nam Ka.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Man, Head of the Department of Culture and Society of Nam Ka commune, digital transformation in the locality still faces many difficulties due to limited educational level of the people and unsynchronized equipment. However, the implementation of the "digital education for the masses" movement has created more motivation to narrow the digital gap, laying the foundation for building a digital government.
“Thanks to the “hand-holding” of the Community Digital Technology Teams, Nam Ka residents have become more confident in using digital platforms; thereby, handling administrative procedures more quickly and conveniently,” said Mr. Man.

In 2025, Nam Ka commune's information technology infrastructure will be heavily invested: connecting dedicated data transmission lines, online video conferencing systems to the province and the Central Government, 100% of cadres and civil servants will be equipped with computers, all 8/8 hamlets will be covered by 3G and 4G. This is the basis for Nam Ka commune to accelerate the goal of building a digital government.
Vice Chairman of Nam Ka Commune People's Committee Le Van Lon affirmed: The "popular digital literacy" movement helps the disadvantaged and ethnic minorities in remote areas not to be left out when society develops. Universal digital knowledge for people is the foundation for them to access public services, improve labor productivity, expand business opportunities, and participate more deeply in the digital economy. At the same time, this is also an important preparation step for Nam Ka to build a digital government, a digital society, and develop digital human resources to meet integration requirements.
