German standard education and training opportunities in Vietnam

(NLDO) - "German Career Coach" brings educational and training opportunities in Vietnam according to German standards, especially in high-tech fields.

The "German Career Guidance Bus" within the framework of "Career Day - Discovering the Future" initiated by the German Embassy in Vietnam officially departed on April 26 at the Goethe Institute, Hanoi.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, German Ambassador to Vietnam Helga Margarete Barth said that the "German Career Coach" project was launched on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Germany and Vietnam (September 23, 1975 - September 23, 2025).

The project introduces education and training opportunities in Vietnam according to German standards, especially in high-tech fields (renewable energy); provides essential information on fair and safe migration.

Deputy Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son said that the cooperation between Vietnam and Germany in the field of human resource education has been promoted over the years. Many parallel vocational training programs are being implemented effectively in Vietnam. Professions such as mechanical engineering, electricity, electronics, hotel and restaurant, nursing, information technology, etc. are the focus of cooperation in education and training between the two countries.

Leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training assessed that the "German Career Guidance Bus" project will contribute to narrowing the gap in information, orientation, and action, helping young people and learners in Vietnam have more direct and vivid access to international standard learning opportunities.

The Deputy Minister of Education and Training assessed that the project will help young people and learners in Vietnam have more direct and vivid access to international standard learning opportunities.

Deputy Minister Hoang Minh Son also suggested that Germany continue to support Vietnamese educational institutions in building similar models in localities with a need to develop young labor resources. Continue to support Vietnam in introducing early career orientation elements into general schools, while developing high-quality vocational training centers according to international standards to serve domestic needs and export high-quality labor.

In addition, support training of teachers and vocational education managers, especially in the fields of digitalization, skills assessment and international market connection.

Sharing information that the Ministry of Education and Training is being assigned the task of amending the Law on Vocational Education and the Law on Higher Education, the Deputy Minister expressed his wish to receive support to reform the vocational education model, to better promote the capacity of young people, and to better orient young people.

"German Career Coach" provides Vietnamese people with information about career and training opportunities in Germany.

The Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training pledges to continue to accompany and create the most favorable conditions for vocational education cooperation programs between Vietnam and the Federal Republic of Germany.

"German Career Coach" will provide Vietnamese people with information about career and training opportunities in Germany, safe and legal ways to study and work in Germany, language and cultural preparation programs as well as vocational and university education programs in Vietnam according to German standards.

The project aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the field of labor migration and expand access to international labor markets for young people in Vietnam.

The bus will depart from Hanoi and travel through 20 provinces and cities across the country before ending its journey in Ho Chi Minh City.

On its way, the bus will stop at high schools, colleges and universities to bring students exciting experiences and interactive games.

Through these activities, young people will have the opportunity to learn more about high-quality study opportunities right in Vietnam as well as attractive prospects in Germany.

"German Career Guidance Bus" was initiated and sponsored by the German Embassy and the German Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, with the support of the German Organization for International Cooperation (GIZ), Goethe Institutes in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City and a number of agencies to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Germany.
