German standard education and training opportunities in Vietnam

(NLDO) - "German career guidance bus" brings educational and training opportunities in Vietnam according to German standards, especially in high-tech fields.

The "German Career Fair - Discover the Future" tour, part of the "Career Fair - Discover the Future" initiative launched by the German Embassy in Vietnam, officially departed on April 26th from the Goethe Institute in Hanoi.

Ambassador Margarete Barth of the Federal Republic of Germany to Vietnam and Deputy Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son cut the ribbon to launch the "German Career Guidance Bus" project.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Vietnam, Helga Margarete Barth, said that the "German Career Bus" project was launched on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Federal Republic of Germany and Vietnam (September 23, 1975 - September 23, 2025).

The project introduces educational and training opportunities in Vietnam based on German standards, particularly in high-tech fields (renewable energy); and provides essential information on fair and safe migration.

Deputy Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son delivered a speech at the launching ceremony.

According to Deputy Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son, cooperation between Vietnam and the Federal Republic of Germany in the field of human resource education has been promoted for many years. Numerous dual vocational training programs are being effectively implemented in Vietnam. Fields such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electronics, hospitality, nursing, and information technology are key areas of cooperation in education and training between the two countries.

Leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training assessed that the "German Career Guidance Bus" project will contribute to narrowing the gap in information, guidance, and action, helping young people and students in Vietnam have more direct and engaging access to international standard learning opportunities.

Deputy Minister Hoang Minh Son also requested Germany to continue supporting Vietnamese educational institutions in developing similar models in localities with a need to develop young labor resources. He also requested continued support for Vietnam in introducing early career orientation elements into secondary schools, while simultaneously developing high-quality vocational training centers that meet international standards to serve domestic needs and the export of high-quality labor.

In addition, support should be provided for training teachers and vocational education administrators, especially in the areas of digitalization, skills assessment, and international market connections.

Sharing information that the Ministry of Education and Training is tasked with amending the Law on Vocational Education and the Law on Higher Education, the Deputy Minister expressed his desire to receive support in reforming the vocational education model, aiming to better develop the capabilities of young people and provide them with better career guidance.

"The German Career Information Bus" provides Vietnamese people with information about career opportunities and training in Germany.

The Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training is committed to continuing to support and create the most favorable conditions for vocational education cooperation programs between Vietnam and the Federal Republic of Germany.

The "German Career Guidance Bus" will provide Vietnamese people with information about career and training opportunities in Germany, safe and legal pathways to study and work in Germany, language and cultural preparation programs, as well as vocational and university education programs in Vietnam based on German standards.

The project aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the field of labor migration and expand access to international labor markets for young people in Vietnam.

The bus will depart from Hanoi and travel through 20 provinces and cities across the country before ending its journey in Ho Chi Minh City.

Along its route, the bus will stop at high schools, colleges, and universities to provide students with engaging interactive experiences and games.

Through these activities, young people will have the opportunity to learn more about high-quality study opportunities right here in Vietnam, as well as attractive prospects in Germany.

The "German Career Guidance Bus" is initiated and sponsored by the German Embassy and the German Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, with the support of the German International Cooperation Organization (GIZ), the Goethe Institutes in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, and several other agencies, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Germany.
