Should I get a master's degree if I'm not rich?

VnExpressVnExpress13/08/2023

My family is not very well off, I plan to graduate from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, then work to earn money, then study for a master's degree, but I'm still hesitant.

I am a third year student, majoring in Environmental Engineering, University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City.

I plan to continue studying for a master's degree in Chemistry after graduating from university, hoping to pursue related majors such as Analytical Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. However, because my family is not well off, I plan to work for a few years to save up, then stop to study for a master's degree.

In the process of applying for a job after getting a bachelor's degree, can I apply for positions in the Chemistry industry? And is it difficult and really necessary to study a master's degree in Chemistry from Environmental Engineering? I hope everyone can advise me.
