Patient NTL (80 years old, Tan My Ha commune, Huong Son) had a history of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, chronic renal failure, and hemodialysis for 4 years. The patient was transferred to the Emergency Resuscitation Department of Duc Tho District General Hospital. Doctors treated him with a high head position, oxygen therapy, blood pressure reduction, antibiotics, vasodilators, and performed emergency blood filtration and active weight loss (UF: 2600ml). After blood filtration, the patient was alert and responsive.
Currently, after 6 days of intensive treatment, with 3 blood filtrations and medical treatment, the patient is conscious again, no longer has difficulty breathing, and is in stable condition.
After emergency care, the patient stabilized.
Previously, the patient was treated at a provincial hospital in the South. Recently, the patient became more serious, comatose, and on a ventilator via an endotracheal tube. His family asked to take him back to his hometown for final care.
