Co To: Rectifying tour organization activities

In response to information reflecting that some travel service businesses in Co To are selling tours to visit the islands at prices lower than the listed prices, affecting the interests of tourists and other tourism businesses, from May 24, the Co To District Interdisciplinary Inspection Team has organized inspections of the activities of travel businesses in the area.

The inspection team worked with Co To Discovery Company Limited.

The inspection showed that Green Co To One Member Co., Ltd. has not declared its prices to the competent authorities. The company has a price list at the office, but the list is incorrect and does not meet the requirements of the regulations. Co To Discovery Co., Ltd. has not declared its listed prices to the competent authorities. It has not posted prices at the office, but only posted prices on the raft and the new office. It advertises its services on the media below the listed prices, but has not notified the competent authorities in writing.

The inspection team promptly reminded, guided and requested the above enterprises to rectify their business activities and strictly implement regulations such as: Must notify the authorities if changing the head office address; publicly, clearly, fully and accurately list prices, must not charge higher than the announced price; absolutely do not sell below the listed price. If implementing promotional and discount programs, enterprises must have a written plan sent to the authorities and can only implement after receiving written approval. At the same time, enterprises must not force prices, not collect fees outside the list, not attract customers by dumping and posting content on social networks that affects the image of Co To tourism ; organize civilized and polite tourism activities, ensure absolute safety for tourists; use licensed services in accordance with the law.

The inspection team affirmed that if a business intentionally violates or repeats the violation, it will be strictly handled according to the law and may be temporarily suspended or have its operations suspended if it negatively affects the general tourism business environment.

In the coming time, Co To district will continue to strengthen the inspection and supervision of the activities of travel agencies and service and accommodation establishments in the area. Thereby demonstrating the determination of the Co To district government in tightening the management of tourism activities, ensuring transparency and fairness, contributing to building the image of a professional and friendly destination in the eyes of tourists.
