Tan Lap Ward Police: Arrested a subject who committed many property theft cases

On the afternoon of September 20, Tan Lap Ward Police said that the unit had just arrested Tran Ho Do Tu (born 1997) in Pan Lam village (Tan Lap ward) who had committed many thefts in Dak Lak province.

During the patrol and control of the area, Tan Lap Ward Police discovered a young man of unknown origin stealing property from a household on The Lu Street (Tan Lap Ward), but the residents did not report it. After discovering the incident, Tan Lap Ward Police checked security cameras in the area to find the subject.

During the investigation, Tan Lap Ward Police received a report from a resident in residential group 1B (Tan Lap Ward) reporting the loss of a laptop, a phone, and a music speaker. Through the extraction of security cameras at the resident's house, they discovered the same suspect and thief.

After a period of monitoring and searching until about 7:40 a.m. on September 20, when the subject Tu brought the stolen property to sell at a store on Vo Van Kiet Street (Thanh Nhat Ward), he was arrested by the Crime Prevention Team of Tan Lap Ward Police.

During the investigation, the suspect Tran Do Huu Tu confessed to committing many other thefts: on August 27, he broke into a house in Ko Tam hamlet (Tan An ward) to steal money and gold; then broke into a house on Nguyen Dinh Hoang street (Buon Ma Thuot ward) to steal a Honda Lead motorbike; on September 2, he stole a laptop, a piggy bank with savings of 5 million VND and some jewelry from a household in Sut M'gru hamlet (Quang Phu commune).

Currently, Tan Lap Ward Police are coordinating with relevant agencies to expand the investigation to handle the subject according to the law.
