The organizers hope this will be a platform for athletes, officials, civil servants, office workers, and beginners in Pickleball – especially women – to have the opportunity to interact, learn, improve their health and professional skills, and also promote the development of the Pickleball training movement nationwide.

Speaking at the press conference, Ms. Ly Viet Trung – Editor-in-Chief of Ho Chi Minh City Women's Newspaper – stated that the Pickleball tournament is not only a sporting event but also an important step in encouraging and developing women's sports in Vietnam. Pickleball is an increasingly popular sport, combining elements of tennis, table tennis, and badminton. With the strong development of this sport, we hope that the tournament organized by Ho Chi Minh City Women's Newspaper will attract the attention of a large number of fans and provide opportunities for female athletes to showcase their talents.

"The tournament also focuses on encouraging the participation of couples, including husbands and wives and mothers and daughters, to strengthen family bonds. This not only creates beautiful memories but also promotes mutual support within the family," journalist Ly Viet Trung expressed.

It is known that at the tournament, the organizers will allocate a portion of the competition's funds to support the Para Pickleball Club of the city's disabled sports team. The organizers also officially opened registration on September 26th; athletes wishing to participate can register online or in person at the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Newspaper office (311 Dien Bien Phu Street, District 3).
