Emergency situation declared on D'ran and Gia Bac passes

Faced with the extremely dangerous level and risk of natural disasters directly threatening people's lives and property, the People's Committee of Lam Dong province has declared an emergency situation at landslide sites on D'ran and Gia Bac passes.

D'ran Pass, part of National Highway 20, through Xuan Truong Commune - Da Lat and Gia Bac Pass, National Highway 28, Son Dien Commune, are two dangerous landslide spots that occurred during the recent rainy and flood season. At these two locations, landslides and cracks in the roadbed and surface have appeared, causing traffic congestion, not ensuring safety, and there is a risk of further landslides if emergency response measures are not taken promptly.

While the authorities are implementing emergency measures to respond and overcome the consequences at the two locations above, organizations and individuals without authority are strictly prohibited from entering the danger warning area. Households around the landslide area will also be evacuated to a safe place...

In recent days, Lam Dong province has been experiencing prolonged heavy rains, causing flooding, flash floods, and great damage to people and property. Landslides have also occurred on many roads and passes, especially D'ran Pass and Gia Bac Pass...
