Tesla Updates Robotaxi Service Ahead of Launch
Tesla has updated its terms of service and revealed plans to launch its Robotaxi service in the San Francisco Bay Area, California, over the weekend. In California, the vehicles will operate with “Full Self Driving (FSD) – supervised” software with a safety driver in the driver’s seat.
Outside of California, the service is described as “fully autonomous,” while in California it must comply with state Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) regulations that require driver supervision.

Tesla has not yet applied for a permit to deploy driverless cars in California, with the state’s senators criticizing the vehicles for being “impounded” if they are operating illegally. Tesla currently has only a supervised FSD testing permit, which is available to a limited group of customers.
Tesla said it is working with authorities to expand the service, while temporarily deploying driver supervision to speed up progress.
Alibaba launches AI smart glasses
Alibaba has officially launched the first smart glasses model integrated with artificial intelligence called Quark - marking a remarkable change in the field of smart wearable devices.
The product uses a Snapdragon AR1 chip specifically for augmented reality devices, combining Android and RTOS operating systems to support real-time processing. With Quark, users can scan payment codes via Alipay, check product prices on Taobao or find directions using the Amap application, showing that the product is not just an accessory but an extension of the Alibaba ecosystem.
