Currently, the province's power supply is provided by two 220kV transformer stations: Vinh Yen Station with two 250MVA machines and Vinh Tuong Station with two 250MVA machines.
Regarding the 110 kV grid system, Vinh Phuc Power Company is managing 14 substations with 26 transformers (MBA), with a total capacity of 1,569 MVA; in addition, there are 2 MBAs with a total capacity of 103 MVA located in the 220 kV Vinh Tuong station and 1 110 kV station owned by customers with a total capacity of 2 MBAs of 50 MVA.
Currently, the number of customers using electricity from Vinh Phuc Electricity Company is more than 248 thousand customers.
In 2024, the company's commercial electricity output will reach more than 4,400 million kWh, an increase of 9.7% compared to 2023, exceeding the assigned plan by 6.4%; the total electricity saved by the company will reach 105.6 million kWh, equivalent to 2.4% of commercial electricity. Currently, Vinh Phuc's power grid basically meets the province's load demand with the largest load capacity Pmax reaching 865 MW.
To ensure the ability to supply electricity and meet customer needs, in 2024, Vinh Phuc Electricity Company will manage and implement 37 electricity projects with a disbursement plan of VND 272.5 billion.
By the end of 2024, the company has completed 20 projects. Of which, it will build and renovate 108.2km of medium-voltage lines, 93.6km of low-voltage lines; build 80 new transformer stations with a total capacity of 29,160kVA; renovate and upgrade the capacity of 56 transformer stations with a total capacity of 25,700kVA in the province.
In 2025, the province's peak summer electricity load is forecast to reach 969MW, an increase of 13% compared to the capacity in 2024, with commercial electricity reaching 5 billion kWh.
Vinh Phuc Electricity Company has developed a power supply plan to ensure operational situations where there is a power shortage of 5 - 50% of the grid capacity when there is an announcement of a national power shortage.
Directing subordinate units to well implement the electricity supply plan approved by the Provincial People's Committee; ensuring the ability to supply electricity with the motto that electricity is always one step ahead to ensure political security, cultural and social activities, production and business needs of enterprises and the needs of people in the province.
At the conference, Vinh Phuc Power Company presented awards from the Northern Power Corporation to outstanding customers in 2025.
