Traffic police temporarily closed a section of Phan Thiet-Dau Giay highway.

Although there were no traffic accidents on the Phan Thiet-Dau Giay highway, traffic police still closed a section of the highway due to a sudden increase in the number of cars.

On the afternoon of February 17, crowds of people from the Central region continued to flock to the Phan Thiet-Dau Giay highway, causing prolonged traffic congestion.

Due to the large number of vehicles, Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 6, Road Traffic Control Patrol Guidance Department (Team 6, Traffic Police Department, Ministry of Public Security ) "temporarily closed" a section of the highway starting from km63, the section passing through Xuan Loc district at about 4:30 p.m.

At the same time, the traffic police also guided the traffic down to National Highway 1 to continue their journey.

A representative of Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 6 said that due to the large number of vehicles from the Central region to Ho Chi Minh City, the unit has to remotely control and regulate the flow of vehicles onto the highway.

Currently, the toll station at the end of the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay highway only has 2 lanes, so when a large number of cars come, they will not be able to escape in time, causing long-term congestion. To balance the situation, Team 6 will proactively regulate from a distance at intersections, including Vinh Hao intersection. At the same time, it will limit vehicles from national highways going onto the highway.
