Spreading Positive Energy - 5th Edition
Healing emotional wounds
Imagine spending a weekend instead of sleeping in and trying out some activities you've never done before? Trust me, it's guaranteed to be fun.
In early October, I participated in the "Mental Health Promotion Day" program held at the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Cultural Center. It was the first time I had the opportunity to try out so many relaxing and creative activities.
I started by decorating a cute little potted plant. Although I wasn't confident in my drawing skills, with dedicated guidance, I carefully colored and drew. The result was very lovely. Each stroke helped me relax and forget my worries. And then I started planting a small plant in that pretty little pot. Now it's thriving and basking in the sun on my desk.
With an experiential mindset, I also took the opportunity to add flowers, draw plants and flowers, and add a little creativity to inspire me as I enjoyed each page of the book.
After my painting class, I went to a cake decorating class. I learned how to create simple cake shapes like chili peppers and cucumbers, using eye-catching colors. It turns out you don't need to be skillful in the kitchen to be good at baking. I don't usually like sweets, but when I make them myself, they taste surprisingly delicious.
The special thing about these festival programs is that they offer a wide variety of experiential activities and exciting events. Even if you're feeling lazy, you can't resist the urge to explore everything.
There were many booths offering personal health advice and care. Here, I received enthusiastic advice and recommendations on suitable medications for myself, as well as advice on physical and mental health.
That day truly helped me feel relieved, less stressed, and more balanced. I finished a meaningful healing session, and I still have the afternoon to do what I've planned. I considered sacrificing a night's sleep to be worthwhile, but in return, I learned to listen to my inner self. I recharged my energy to welcome a new week full of vitality.
