The three most impressive Vietnamese racers in this stage were Pham Le Xuan Loc (Military Zone 7), Nguyen Hoang Sang (Le Fruit Maxxis Dong Nai), and Le Ngoc Son (Loc Troi An Giang Group). All three stuck together to the top of Hai Van Pass before accelerating strongly to chase the group of foreign racers in front. Finishing 7th and leaving Dang Van Phap (620 Chau Thoi Vinh Long) far behind, Pham Le Xuan Loc successfully won the white jersey. The orange jersey changed hands from Nguyen Tan Hoai to his teammate Le Ngoc Son from Loc Troi An Giang Group Club. In the team title, Loc Troi An Giang Group Club also took the top spot from Domesco Dong Thap Pharmaceutical Team. The only title that remained unchanged after stage 10 was the green jersey, still in the hands of Nick Kergozou (620 Nong Nghiep Vinh Long).
