The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) recently announced a two-year ban on goalkeeper Nguyen Van Ba from participating in any football activities organized by the organization.
Goalkeeper Van Ba has been banned from playing for two years.
The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) stated that the goalkeeper of Kien Giang Club acted improperly, distorting the result of the match between Kien Giang and Dong Nai in the 2023 National Second Division League on July 30, 2023.
In this match, Dong Nai desperately needs 3 points to secure a spot in the play-off round for promotion to the First Division.
In the aforementioned match, goalkeeper Nguyen Van Ba underperformed, making repeated mistakes and contributing to his team's 0-6 defeat.
Nguyen Van Ba is a product of SLNA's youth academy. In 2017, he had a trial with the first team and made a strong impression.
Subsequently, the goalkeeper, born in 2001, was called up to join the Vietnam U19 team to participate in a series of important international tournaments.
Van Ba possesses excellent reflexes and the ability to move in and out of positions effectively. In addition, he has a very good height.
But just as he was at the best stage of his career development, the 21-year-old goalkeeper was hit with a ban from the VFF (Vietnam Football Federation).
This ban from the VFF could very well be a turning point that completely changes Van Ba's career.
Previously, the VFF also issued disciplinary action against goalkeeper Y Êli Niê (U19 Đắk Lắk ) and four players from U19 Bình Định for dishonest play.
