Da Nang: 5 people in Tra Tan commune were injured by a landslide and could not be transferred to a higher level.

On the evening of October 29, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tra Tan Commune (Da Nang City) Le Minh Chien said that Tra Tan Commune Health Station (Base 2, the old Tra Giap Commune Health Station) had received 5 victims injured by landslides and fallen trees. Doctors and nurses had urgently performed initial first aid measures. Of the 5 injured, 3 were in serious condition. The biggest difficulty in rescuing the victims is that traffic is blocked due to landslides in many places, making it difficult to move them to higher levels.

Chairman of Tra Tan Commune People's Committee Le Minh Chien said: Many roads in Tra Tan are currently seriously blocked. National Highway 40B has landslides in many places, making it very difficult to transfer victims to higher-level medical facilities.

In Tra Tan commune, heavy rains for many consecutive days caused the mountains to accumulate a large amount of water, combined with the rising water of Tak Mun stream, causing a serious landslide that buried and swept away 11 houses of the Ca Dong ethnic group in Tra Giap village. Thanks to the initiative, more than 50 people in 5 households whose houses collapsed escaped in time without any injuries. The local government moved these households to stay temporarily in relatives' houses and provided additional food and provisions.
