The latest report shows that Da Nang's tourism industry has recently implemented many promotional solutions to attract potential Muslim tourists from Indonesia, Malaysia, the CIS, and the Middle East, along with exploiting direct and charter flights from these four potential markets.
The National Plan for the Development of the Halal Industry until 2030, approved by the Prime Minister on February 14, 2023, has created significant momentum to promote the formation and expansion of the Halal ecosystem, with Halal tourism being one of the areas targeted for strong development.
Da Nang city is implementing various activities to build the image of a destination friendly to Muslim tourists, gradually meeting the needs for Halal cuisine, services, and experiences according to international standards.

At the seminar, experts, consulting firms, Halal certification bodies, and tourism service businesses, as well as Halal product manufacturers and suppliers, discussed and shared information on trends and needs of Muslim tourists; introduced standards for tourism that are friendly to Muslims, compared several international Halal standards; discussed how to build a chain of tourism products and services suitable for Muslims; and addressed the quality of services and effective communication channels to attract Muslim tourists to visit and stay in Da Nang city.
Mr. Tan Van Vuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that the in-depth discussions at the seminar provided a basis for the city to propose solutions for developing the Halal ecosystem in Da Nang, and to orient the building of Da Nang's brand as a tourist destination friendly to Muslim visitors.
According to information from Anex Tour and Crystal Bay, in 2026, they plan to open more direct flights from the Russian Federation and CIS countries to Da Nang, with a frequency of approximately 70 flights/month, equivalent to serving about 10,000 passengers/month, nearly double the number compared to 2025.
