Da Nang: Bright Tet flowers on the streets, stable prices

According to observations, along streets such as Nguyen Sinh Sac, Hoang Thi Loan, Nguyen Dinh Tuu, and Nguyen Hong Anh (Da Nang City), many small traders are busy transporting Tet flowers and kumquat trees to display and sell.

Large shipments of flowers arriving by trucks from all over the country have made the atmosphere of the Lunar New Year of the Snake in Da Nang even more vibrant.

This year, the Tet flowers on the streets are diverse, with buds blooming beautifully. Many vendors say that flower prices are stable this year because the weather has been quite favorable in the last days of the year, and the flowers are also more beautiful than in previous years.

Small business owner Vo Hong Phuc (44 years old) said: “This year I brought in main flower varieties such as daisies, chrysanthemums, potted plants of the four seasons, and various orchid varieties from Da Lat. Although the price of flowers imported from the garden has increased slightly, I still keep the prices the same as in previous years.”

Small potted flowers such as gerberas, daffodils, and peonies cost around 35,000 VND per pot. Yellow and red chrysanthemums range from 150,000 to 200,000 VND per pot. Roses cost 250,000 VND per pot.

Having just unloaded over 50 kumquat trees from the truck, Mr. Dinh Minh Hoa said that this year the kumquats have more fruit and are more beautiful than in previous years. Depending on the size and style, the price of kumquats varies, but most are priced under 10 million VND per pot.

As for orchids, according to Ms. Pham Tran Quynh Huong (owner of Huong Phat Loc orchid garden), the price of orchids this year has not changed much compared to previous years.

Specifically, the price of Phalaenopsis orchids ranges from approximately 200,000 to 250,000 VND per pot, Cymbidium orchids 150,000 VND per stem, Dendrobium nobile orchids 300,000 VND per pot, and Oncidium orchids 270,000 VND per pot.

According to vendors, yellow chrysanthemums are currently the most popular and best-selling flowers due to their reasonable price and ease of decoration.

In particular, chrysanthemums can be displayed throughout the entire month of January. In addition, petunias are also attracting a lot of customer interest.
