Da Nang City Women's Union grants funding to support house building
At the end of March, the Women's Union of Da Nang City held a groundbreaking ceremony to build a new house for the family of Vo Thi Hien, a single woman in extremely difficult circumstances in Nam Son village, Hoa Tien commune, Hoa Vang district. The old house of Hien and her daughter was just a temporary shack on a small plot of land that had also seriously degraded. Every time the rainy season comes, fear strikes again, when the temporary house cannot provide shelter, causing Hien and her children to live in insecurity and anxiety. With the cooperation of authorities at all levels and the community, the project was started with a budget of 80 million VND, bringing a new home to Hien's family.
Not only in Nam Son village, the work of eliminating temporary houses has also been enthusiastically responded to by all levels of Women's Union and widely deployed in many other localities in the city. The Women's Union of Ngu Hanh Son district has also coordinated with authorities at all levels to organize a handover ceremony for the repaired house to the family of Mr. Nguyen Van Dai and Ms. Bui Thi Ho at Group 44, Man Quang 2, Hoa Quy ward. The current house of Mr. Dai and Ms. Ho's family is also seriously degraded, directly affecting the family's life.
The spacious and solid houses are not only a material change but also bring hope and peace of mind to disadvantaged families. With the consensus and solidarity of the community, the Women's Union of Da Nang City has made an important contribution to the city's social security work, improving the spiritual life of the people. The newly donated houses are a testament to love, sharing and a sustainable society./.
