Congress of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists of Phu Yen province for the term 2024-2029

(NADS) - On December 10, at the headquarters of the Phu Yen Literature and Arts Association, the Phu Yen Provincial Association of Vietnamese Artists held the Association Congress for the 2024-2029 term.

Attending the event were journalist Tran Thanh Hung, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Mr. Le Hoang Phu, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Mr. Huynh Van Quoc, Vice President in charge of the Phu Yen Literature and Arts Association; Artist Huynh Anh, Member of the Executive Committee, Head of the Inspection Committee of the Vietnam Literature and Arts Association in charge of the South Central and Central Highlands regions, and photography professionals of the Phu Yen Literature and Arts Association.

In the 2019-2024 term, the Association has 8 members. In difficult conditions because the members are scattered over a large and far area, in the middle of the term the Association President fell seriously ill, the Vice President had to hold concurrent positions, some members faced difficult family and health situations... but the Association has completed the set targets, organized 3 solo exhibitions for 3 members, admitted 2 new members, participated in all photo contests in the province, domestically and internationally and achieved many high achievements. Notable are the artists Le Chau Dao, Duong Thanh Xuan, Huynh Le Vien Duy... The members have enthusiastically participated and become the core factor in the local photography movement.

At the congress, delegates who are local leaders made positive comments on the activities of the branch, acknowledged the efforts and contributions of the NSNA members in Phu Yen in developing the local economy , culture and society and suggested some activities of the branch in the coming time, especially in 2025 with many major events of the locality and the whole country. Also at the congress, NSNA Duong Thanh Xuan, former Branch President of the first two terms when the Branch was first established, on behalf of previous generations, presented the traditional relics of the Branch and sent good expectations to the new Executive Committee.

With the spirit of democracy and solidarity, the Congress elected a new Executive Committee of 2 people, Huynh Le Vien Duy (Chief of the Association), Le Ngoc Minh (Vice President of the Association) and elected a delegation of 3 artists to attend the higher-level congress.
