Comrade Nguyen Duc Thang, Secretary of the Party Committee of Tan Tai Ward, said: The ward currently has about 3,000 households and more than 11,000 inhabitants. In recent years, thanks to the city's development strategy and urban expansion, Tan Tai has been able to effectively utilize its potential and advantages to boost economic development, with trade and services being the leading sectors, creating momentum for overall development, solving employment problems, and improving people's income and living standards.
With the expansion of urban space, the upgrading of urban infrastructure, and the development of the transportation network, Tan Tai has formed many bustling and dynamic residential areas, streets, shopping and service zones; typical examples include Ngo Gia Tu, 16th April, and Hai Thuong Lan Ong streets, attracting hundreds of businesses and households to invest in various fields such as food and beverage, accommodation, entertainment, postal and telecommunications services, and credit. In particular, the Phan Rang agricultural market maintains efficient operation, creating favorable conditions for hundreds of small traders to conduct business.

To promote the development of trade and services, local authorities also pay special attention to administrative reform, creating favorable conditions and quickly resolving procedures for granting business licenses and loans... helping businesses and households improve production capacity, expand scale of operations, and service quality to meet production and consumption needs, while encouraging and attracting various economic sectors to invest in this field.
Along with trade and services, the industrial and construction sectors, especially small-scale industries such as garment manufacturing, iron, aluminum, and stainless steel processing, and food processing, have maintained their development. In 2023, the total value of production across all economic sectors reached over 875 billion VND, with a growth rate of 12.5%; of which, the trade and service sector accounted for 61.5%; and the industrial, small-scale, and construction sectors accounted for 36.1%. In the first six months of 2024, the total value of production across all economic sectors reached over 486 billion VND, achieving 54% of the plan, showing a positive shift in direction.
Regarding the local development orientation in the coming period, Comrade Nguyen Duc Thang stated: In economic development, the locality continues to identify trade and services as key sectors. During the urbanization process, the area of agricultural land is gradually shrinking. To help people improve their lives, the locality will implement solutions to help them apply science and technology, introduce high-value economic production models, and increase crop yields; while also creating conditions for people to change professions, create jobs, and increase income. In addition, the locality will focus on effectively implementing social welfare policies, addressing environmental sanitation issues, urban order, and construction order... creating strong momentum to promote socio-economic development. In 2024, the locality will accelerate to achieve the development goals set for the 2020-2025 term; striving for a total production value of economic sectors exceeding 894 billion VND. Of that, trade and services accounted for 67.7%; and industry and construction accounted for 29.5%.
In the future, Tan Tai ward will be merged with My Huong and Kinh Dinh wards, promising to become a vibrant, civilized, and modern urban center. Currently, many large-scale projects are planned by the province and are open for investment, such as: the Southeast 1 Urban Area Project, the Southeast 2 Urban Area Project, the Tan Tai Commercial Center... In particular, the downstream dam of the Dinh River has been completed and put into operation, not only preventing saltwater intrusion, draining floods, and solving the problem of irrigation and daily life for the people, but also serving as a basis for arranging and forming residential areas, developing urban areas on both banks of the Dinh River, creating environmental landscapes, and promoting tourism development in the locality. In the future, when the sustainable environment project of Phan Rang - Thap Cham City is completed, it will help with drainage, improve the environment, and build the city. Phan Rang - Thap Cham in general and Tan Tai ward in particular are becoming increasingly green, clean, beautiful, and civilized, creating a strong impetus for socio-economic development and improving the lives of local people.
