The old Gianh Bridge is 746.4 m long with 9 spans, 12 m wide, completed and put into use since the end of 1998. After a period of use, the road surface on the bridge has been rutted, the speed of cars passing over the bridge is 50 km/h. The expansion project will upgrade the bridge to be 12 m wider, the maximum designed speed is 80 km/h. |

According to the construction unit, the geological conditions at the bottom of the Gianh River for drilling the bridge are not complicated, and the water flow is normal . At this time, the unit has drilled piles up to 60m deep and cast the piers for the construction of the prestressed reinforced concrete bridge. Along with that, the project of the approach roads at both ends of the bridge and Quan Hau bridge across Nhat Le river connecting Quan Hau town and Vo Ninh commune in Quang Ninh district with a total investment of more than 200 billion VND is also under construction, on time for handover and put into operation at the end of 2025. |

The bridge has 9 spans, the bridge surface is 12m wide, the design speed is 80km/h. |

Quan Hau Bridge is 549 m long and 12 m wide. Construction began in 1996 and was completed in 2000. After a long period of use with increased traffic volume, the bridge surface has become rutted. The management unit has also put up many warning signs about speed and vehicle weight on the bridge. |

Currently, workers are erecting the concrete structure of the bridge piers. When completed and put into operation, Gianh and Quan Hau bridges will share the burden of the two existing bridges, which often experience traffic congestion when traffic collisions occur. |
