On the evening of April 13, director Quoc Thao premiered the play "A Dry Heart" (author Nguyen Thi Minh Ngoc, inspired by the literary work of Nguyen Ngoc Tu) at Quoc Thao stage (70-72 Nguyen Van Troi, Phu Nhuan).

This is the graduation performance of the young actors who are his students from course K11 and K12, under the guidance and dedicated instruction of artists: Quoc Thao, Meritorious Artist Minh Nhi, Meritorious Artist Tuyet Thu, choreographer Hai Au, Master Nguyen Duc Thanh, makeup artist To Loan, musician Vuong Bao Quoc...

They have excellently transformed into the characters of the dramatic story with profound humanistic meaning. These are situations that are both funny and sad, telling about the cruel fate between people who were placed in a strange situation by fate.

Director Quoc Thao is happy and moved by his students' achievements.

The story revolves around the main character named Hau - the director of a company, who escapes death after an assassination attempt. From there, the play leads the audience from one surprise to another.

The characters and many details lead the audience to face situations that evoke thoughts in life. From there, the actors have expressededucational messages. Director Quoc Thao was moved to say that this was the result of the young actors' collective efforts to enter the play, understand and exploit the actions and psychology of the characters through their own perspectives, thereby conveying genuine emotions to the audience. "This achievement is thanks to the teachers who have wholeheartedly taught and guided the young actors to have the opportunity to transform themselves in acting, thereby confidently pursuing their career professionally" - Director Quoc Thao said.

Before watching the play, the audience watched three short films by author and director Nguyen Gia Bao: "Border" (about a tragic kidnapping and ransom case); "Dream" (about the desire of young people to learn art) and "Daytime Mission" (condemning gender discrimination). Young director Nguyen Gia Bao said: "Quoc Thao Drama Theater has taught more about acting in front of the camera, so the Media competition will be an opportunity for actors to demonstrate their abilities. Currently, in addition to learning the profession to perform on stage, they really need to diversify their acting on screen. And through these short films, actors trained at Quoc Thao Drama Theater will have more experience and apply it to their profession more effectively. The three short films have shown that actors of K11 and K12 are very confident and can become our colleagues after this reporting night" - director Nguyen Gia Bao said.
