SE4 train locomotive smokes at Truoi station, causing no damage

On the afternoon of August 12, Mr. Le Trong Tung, Director of Thua Thien Hue Railway Exploitation Branch, said that at about 3:30 p.m., passenger train SE4 on the Ho Chi Minh City - Hanoi route, when passing Truoi station (Hue City), suddenly had a technical problem, causing the locomotive to emit smoke.

The train driver quickly separated the locomotive from the train and coordinated with the authorities to handle the situation promptly, so there was no damage to people or property.

“This was not a fire, but just a technical problem in the engine. The problem has been resolved and the train continues its journey,” Mr. Tung affirmed.

At the same time, some social media accounts live-streamed images of the train car emitting smoke, attracting the attention of many people and the online community.
