School violence between students and students, students and teachers, parents and teachers, teachers and teachers has a negative impact on the education sector. Many ugly and heartbreaking cases of violence have occurred. And the incident that happened in Tuyen Quang, when a 7th grade student threw a sandal at a teacher's head, used words and actions to insult the teacher, is unimaginable.

Frustration. Sadness. That is the feeling we cannot avoid in the past few days. Before writing this article, I asked some teachers and students about the culture of teacher-student behavior in reality that they are concerned about. A female teacher who has been involved in the education industry for nearly 30 years, working in public and private schools in the province and Ho Chi Minh City, lamented the incidents of students attacking teachers, especially the incident in Tuyen Quang, which haunted her.

As a former subject teacher, supervisor, and administrator who faced many cases related to school violence, she said the way the students treated the female teacher in this case was unacceptable.

From my students' perspective, many students expressed their indignation at the ugly actions of students who were disrespectful to teachers. A 12th grade student told me: "No matter how inappropriate the teacher's actions are, students should not act rudely. Instead, students should find appropriate ways to deal with them, such as reporting them to the school." Another student confided: "Insulting teachers with words and actions shows the failure of parents in educating their children, allowing their children to be so rude."

Behaving civilly and affectionately in the teaching environment, in any era, this is extremely important.

A 12th grade male student expressed his wish that there should be a relationship of respect, sympathy, and mutual understanding between students and teachers in the educational environment. In particular, there should be no imposition or personal grudges. School is like a miniature society, where everyone together practices a civilized and affectionate lifestyle. Teachers and students always love and understand each other.

Or another female student shared, all relationships must come from respect to maintain good harmony. Students respect teachers largely based on the education and behavior of their parents towards teachers, because the way parents teach greatly affects children's perception. And teachers are the same, students always expect teachers to enter the classroom with a happy and gentle attitude when entering the classroom. Teachers may bring their own sadness from outside life, but students expect each teacher to leave those sadness outside the door, to enter the classroom with the best mood, so that the classroom atmosphere is not tense.

I always think that teachers who behave in a civilized manner will never use insulting words to students, because those words will damage their psychology. And students themselves must know how to respect teachers. In an educational environment, for the relationship between teachers and students to become good, the first thing is mutual respect. Next, the school, teachers and families must work together to educate each student. Avoid using violence, because when using violence, it means we have lost to others.

Behaving civilly and humanely in the teaching environment, in any era, is extremely important. "Learning manners first" is the first and most important thing. Learning manners first is not only necessary in school but also in family school. And behaving humanely in school is very necessary for us adults. Parents need to be an example of "learning manners first" for their children. And for teachers, practicing learning manners first, then learning knowledge, be "A good teacher does not only teach students with knowledge, with available words but must teach with all his heart".
